Most of what we sell at Massive Discounts comes from customer returns and overstock from big UK online retailers. That is how we can sell well-known brands for a fraction of the RRP. Every product page shows a condition grade in the title area and in the first line of the description, so you always know what you are buying. Here is what each grade means.

Brand new

Unused, unopened stock – usually overstock or end-of-line items. It arrives in the original sealed packaging with all accessories, exactly as you would get it from the big retailers, just cheaper.

Open-Box (new item)

The box has been opened – often by a customer who changed their mind or ordered the wrong size – but the item itself is new and unused. Packaging may be taped, slightly marked or not the original box. We check that the product is complete; if anything is missing (for example a few screws or a manual) we write it in red at the top of the description.

Best for: anyone who wants a new product and does not care about a perfect box. Open-Box items are usually the sweet spot between price and condition.

Used (tested)

The item has been used before. We test it to make sure it works and describe any marks, wear or missing parts in the first line of the description and in the photos. If an item is sold "as seen", the photos show exactly the unit you will receive.

Best for: tools, garden equipment, appliances and furniture where a few cosmetic marks do not matter but the saving does.

Broken / For parts

A small number of items are sold as faulty or for parts and are clearly labelled as such. They are great for repairers and DIYers who want spares at a very low price.

How we check returns

• Every item is inspected in our UK warehouse in Worksop before it is listed.
• Electrical items are powered on and tested where possible.
• Anything missing or damaged is written in red at the top of the product description.
• The photos are of our stock – for Used and "sold as seen" items, the actual unit.

Delivery, returns and payment

• Free delivery to England and Wales (small surcharge to Scotland and Northern Ireland).
• 30-day returns – if something is not right, contact us and we will sort it out.
• Pay in instalments with Klarna and earn cashback on eligible orders.

Which grade should you choose?

If you are buying a gift, go for Brand new or Open-Box. If you just want something that works for the lowest price, Used items give the biggest saving. Not sure? Ask us before you buy – we are happy to send extra photos.
